While Reddit is currently one of the top favoured parasites on Google (until big G has sucked their data dry!) it's ripe for finding juicy keywords. There have been a few guides similar to this posted on BHW, but I thought I might as well highlight the technique while it's relevant and fruitful.
You'll need an account with Ahrefs, Semrush, Serpstat or similar tool - one of the $7 Semrush accounts from the marketplace is fine.
1) Find your target subreddit(s)
There may well be subreddits already ranking for your keywords - if this is the case it should be an ideal target for our research. Otherwise you can check other niche keywords and see if you can find one ranking, or just put your niche into Reddit's own search box and see what it spits out. Whatever subreddit you end up with, it should be broadly related to the niche you're interested in.
2) Paste it into your SEO tool of choice
Visit your Ahrefs/Semrush etc account, and paste your chosen subreddit into the query box, selecting 'path', 'subfolder', or 'url prefix' from the search type, depending on the tool you're using. Then go to your organic keywords section.
3) Tweak those filters
Now to refine things. Add some filters, such as CPC > $0.50 (making sure there's money there, not applicable for Semrush users though - you can filter by transactional searches), KD < 10 (checking for easy rankability), position < 10/20 (should be rankable with a parasite)
4) ????????
5) Profit!
Enjoy your list of profitable keywords in your niche!
