Hello everyone, I've learned a lot in my short time on BHW and figured I'd give back to the community.
This guide will be on how to send mass emails on a brand new domain and not be caught by spam or reported/banned. This is highly useful for cold email campaigns and cold outreach with some relevancy. I've personally used these methods/tools to send out tens of thousands of emails to high authority domain employees (IBM, Oracle, etc) with a fresh domain and always with a high open rate. I used this method last year so please inform me if anything is outdated!
In what ways could you use this? Well, if you're a student loan affiliate and can scrape 100,000 student names, now all of a sudden that's 100,000 potential prospects to your @BHWstudentloans.com emails (by combining that with hunter.io and some excel)! If you live in america, the CAN-SPAM act is an absolute joke. Following it is laughably easy and only requires a few things like unsubscribe buttons and not creating "false headers"(whatever that means).
Let's begin shall we.
1) Amazon SES - The best way to send emails, period. HIGHLY scalable and cheap, this is the industry standard for small businesses to giant corporations. I recommend using an older amazon account if signing up for SES (maybe amazon sees this account age?). You will first be put into a "sandbox" mode with tons of limitations on your SES account so be sure to have your website mostly complete and answer the questions/prompts to the best of your ability so you can raise your email limitations.
Why is SES the best? Well like I said above, everyone uses it so the odds of their IP addresses being "blacklisted" are slim to none. If you can survive and not get banned via amazons own system, you don't have to worry about blacklists.
2) Mautic - Mautic provides free and open source marketing automation software available to everyone. Essentially you'll be connecting Mautic to your SES account for your email campaigns, automated follow ups, etc. It's a bit annoying to get setup, but once you do it's golden. This can be replaced by a variety of other services but Mautic is my favorite.
3) Never Bounce - An invaluable tool. Neverbounce checks your email list to see whether or not the email will autobounce or not. Bounced emails is the #1 way of getting banned on SES, so this tool is a must! You upload your CSV and get a fresh copy out. 100,000 emails start at $400.
4) https://www.mail-tester.com/ - Another invaluable tool. On this site, you send the test email to a pregiven email and then check your spam score. Not enough text? Your domain email security settings aren't configured properly? Mail Tester will tell you so that way you don't get dinged and banned off SES or sent into spam automatically! Remember, getting dinged too many times as spam can get your domain blacklisted making you start fresh.
