Let's say I find a site online with a nice template but it's WP driven, can I rip that template and use it on my own website???

You can't rip a theme since it contains php code, and the output is pure html. You could however take the output and use it to make a theme that was close depending on how complex it is, but it would take some knowledge and work.

heck no on the fp comment.
just have it mastered and can rip mostly anything except wp, actually turns it into a website format.
but any of those apps can do that, dream weaver, ect.
just takes about 3 minutes to setup.lol

is there a way to download any video for example from some adult video sites? i know the downloading them from the temporary internet files option but not all websites have their videos in a format where you can do this.

Search on Google for: "Porn Site Name" free video download, there are sites where you enter the url of your video and it will be downloaded for you, just like Youtube!
 
thanks for everyone contributing to this thread as there are many ways of ripping a website. happy ripping
 
another way is just to view the page source and manually save it as .html or whatever extention it is.

using 3rd party web builders sometimes you can import the site via:file/import/setup a folder on your pc, then rip it.

For ripping video files, view the source and use a download mananger to download them all at one, tedious, but it works.
Firefox has works great for finding the media files location for dowloading.
 
Ripping a site on linux boxes is simple.

1) Install w3mir (yum install w3mir or apt-get install w3mir or the equivalent of your distro)
2) w3mir -r urlhere

Done.
 
Surprised to know that nobody mentions about Offline Explorer (Metaproducts) which is the best one without any doubt.
 
Dude Offline Explorer is the best that I have used, it is amazing it rips everything but you still have to get the content out with something else

Sorry so much tired to argue but who is talking about getting content out? Did you read the title of the thread or the first post?
 
Forgot to mention, visit the page, & check your temp directory if you cant rip it correctly.
 
i got telport pro and telport ultra how do i download a site like http://www.pingfarm.com i dont know how deep to set it to??? 1 or 3 or 500 ????
 
offline explorer is cool and all but sites im trying to rip have server side scripts java etc..
