OK, so this guide is short and sweet but should save a bunch of folk hassle and cost and is easy to do.
Problem
How I use it?
I need to check content that is written for me (I always do this, regardless of what proof the writer sends me!), as I am rewriting competitor articles, and also when I want to check articles I find on archive.org. I use this method pretty much every day.

Obviously this is not the copyscape premium account which allows you to check a whole site en masse or any of the other features, but it personally works for me and I hope it helps some of you.
If you have any tweaks or advice for others as to what works for you, please feel free to share!
Problem
- Copyscape only provide 10 free searches per month per domain/IP
- Copyscape premium costs 3c per search (up to 200 words)
plus 1c per extra 100 words.
- IP workaround - Use a VPN to rotate IP's.
- Domain workaround - Create a new subdomain (free with hosts like namecheap), install WP, copy the content you want to check to a new page. Rinse and repeat.
