[Guide] How to generate 200k traffic every year

This is idea is right. But his math is completely wrong.

1. You'll struggle to rank well with 250 words. 500 words seems to be the standard in SEO.
2. Traffic completely depends on competition and niche search volume. You'd be very lucky to average 10 visitors every day on each post.
3. Random blog post traffic ain't converting at 1% - more like 0.01%
No, your math is wrong. According to the post, you'll have an article every 7 days. 7x250 = 1750 word articles.

Missed that. Was too shook by the 1% cold traffic conversion rate, that I automatically assumed everything else he was saying was also wrong.

The thing that you haven't taken into consideration is the word "if"

I'm glad he mentioned 'if' two times.

That should be a very big and capitalized 'if'.

If everything works the way we plan we'd all be millionaires. Not every time do you get articles of 250 words ranking. Sometimes they'd be left in position 50 where even the sun can't get to.

Theoretically, it is possible but in practice especially when we're talking about SEO. Your chances are slim. But if you write articles of upto 1k words daily targeting specific keywords on each article. Maybe you'd make a headway, afterall that's what authority sites do. Push out tons of articles daily or weekly. They eventually start to rank. But there's no guarantee in any SEO.

Get your math right!
250 words X 7 days = 1750 words = 1 article.
And there are more than 50 weeks in a year.
That equates to 50 articles.

BTW, What you are trying to say is right.

But the big question is how you will get a planned 10 visitors per day?? 1% conversion reallly!! But most of my visitors will sniff off my post and never come back. Free Knowledge!!!

That gives me the motivation to start writing articles! Not sure about the conversion rate though!

This is somewhat true. Google gives reward to site who publishes article constantly. I have seen sites getting traffic but drops when they stop publishing content.

Consistent posting of article will improve traffic definitely . However 200k traffic only because of posting article is impossible..

Even if someone manages to write 50 cordial content pieces for someone else, that equates to $500-800. Small chunk to get started with something fresh.

Except without any marketing or digital/seo work, most of your blogs will get 0 traffic a day. The notion that every post would get 10 visits a day is just plain wrong - sure you might be lucky and one of your posts compensates by getting much more traffic than that, but without promotion it's highly unlikely.

Not to mention it depends on your product. 1% sales conversion rate on a 100k hits of traffic for a product priced at $200k is extremely high. It's all relative to what you're selling.

The main motivation of his tweet is correct -do something, even if it's small and it could add up to something big.

But if you build it, they won't necessarily come - that's a fallacy of the business world. The best or most consistent product doesn't always win.
