In the last days I needed several proxy servers, so I searched for a suitable proxy provider.
However, imho most providers are quite expensive or poor provide quality.
So I searched for a mthod that I can host proxy servers very cheap and on my own. That's the only way I have full control and know that my "dedicated proxy server" will not be re-selled to another customer.
During my research, I came across OVH. There you can rent vServer for 3.56 € per month. You can buy up to 16 ip addresses for a one-time activation fee (2.4€). After that you have 16 (+one free) IP where you can host your proxie servers.
On the Linux vServer you can now easily set up your own proxy server (google for Squid). At this point I do not provide extra instructions, as a vServer is not for noobs with zero administration knowledge.
However, if you have basic knowledge, you can quickly google the instructions.
I've setup over 100 proxie servers in the last few days and they are working like a charm. You can even select the area of your proxie (multiple european and united states).
Just my two cents.
