Guide for hiring social media managers

How do you guys manage to hire a manager for lets say your instagram accounts? Instagram doesn't offer roles access like facebook pages so you have to go by giving your password and full access, so should we just rely on a contract or is there any other way to tackle this thing?

Hootsuite account to manage all networks. Then I tie that in with lastpass so I make the employee register for lastpass they get added to our social folder and inside that they can access all the tools i need, no need to give out passwords or logins everything is auto filled in for them. When thay employee leaves I just revoke access via lastpass.

At first, I have someone who work on site for me (they also do photograph and editing for posts, so I provide them with a decent laptop and space at my home). When c word hit, I just let them bring them the devices and account. Now I manage with a social media manager account (it's plannable), so they have access to social media account but not the social media accounts itself.

I recommend choosing a marketing company that has references to your work as well as contact information.
