  1. Sorry, I misunderstood your question. Would you be elaborate your question?
  2. If Shopify is not available in your country, I am not able to give you advice in this matter. I haven't dealt with that before.
I wish you the best of luck! :-)

Hello, how are you?
1. For example, I want to add T-shirt product from Aliexpress. In ali site the name of product looks like :
Merry Pretty 2018 summer new Harajuku women t shirt ice cream Korean style cotton loose crop tops kawaii t-shirt female tee tops
Should I copy the name or what is better? Something like :
1. Merry Pretty 2018 summer women t shirt ice cream
2. Summer t-shirt with ice cream
3. Women t-shirt ice cream

I am using Oberlo app, there are an option like tags , should I add them ?
At start with social media accounts , I dont need to edit any SEO on website?

do you use any plugin to automatically type the buyer info on aliexpress? or you do it manually?

I am not sure, but i think oberlo app provides that option. But it is better to do it manually? Just if any mistake - you will have problems like refund etc and no sale. I think it takes 3 min to log, add buyer and click buy

The fashion niche is extremely hard for n00bs to get into and also the Twiter method is a great way to get your accounts (shadow) banned

It isn't 2015 anymore

Nice idea. But you can do the same thing for 99 cents with the Godaddy coupon, a domain hosted on a free Cpanel Web Host, installing Wordpress, WooCommerce plugin, a WooCommerce Store Theme and a product feeder plugin and never have to pay the pirates at Shopify.

Or have I missed something?

Does anyone know how to add a size chart, specifically an asian size chart to product pages? Thanks!

I also was wondering if the shopify fee is worth it and if woocommerce would be better as well. I have a bit of experience with woocommerce, but not dropshipping.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated greatly. Thanks!

Hello everyone,

This guide might be known to a lot of forum members, but I thought it's good to share a step-by-step guide to make money with Shopify. I state this isn’t something that’s going to make you thousands overnight with no work at all.

Method

Do not fall for those get rich schemes. Nothing comes easy. Yes this will require some work. However The results will be big if you succeed. I’d say around 95% of people who make a living online make a living through a website. If you want to make a living online or want to make A LOT of money then you need a website. You could become one of the 5% who don’t own websites, But that is very very hard.
Many of you may have heard of the popular growing website shopify.com.

I will be teaching you the tips and tricks on how these sellers are netting in almost $1000 per day. Yes that is right. $1000 per day!

Now you are not going to make that much instantly. However you will be able to make a lot lot of money if you put in the time and effort into driving traffic. Now first things is first. We want to get hosting and we want to get a Namecheap domain since a domain is cheap to get. You can get free hosting and you are able to get a free site name. But if you want to make your website look more professional I suggest getting a good .com domain name.

The more professional your site looks and the more time you spend on it the more money you will make in the long run. So what we will do now is get your 14 day trial on Shopify.

Go to www.shopify.com and create an account.

You get a free 14 days of shopify per email. Everything else is self explanatory and then you name your shop. You will be using your own niche you specialize in or your own niche that you decide to choose.

You are able to look on http://www.aliexpress.com/

For niche items to sell.

(Oberlo App)

Use the Oberlo app on Shopify to quickly add and import items to your Shopify store. I will be showing you how to get traffic later on in the thread. But for now what we will do is focus on getting a niche for you. I will be finding my own niche on www.aliexpress.com.

After the buyer buys you can ship the item to the buyer through Aliexpress. The great thing about Shopify is that you can either use Paypal/if you don’t have Paypal you are able to use Shopify to get payments and then the $ will transfer all the way over to your bank account. The example that I will be using on Aliexpress is fashion.

Fashion is a popular niche. The great thing about this method is that there are millions and millions of different niches that you can choose and everyone thinks different so everyone will have a different type of product/item that they will be selling. So there is a 0% chance of saturation for this method.
I suggest trying to think outside the box.

We will be targeting women when we try to get traffic since these are womens clothing.
On aliexpress the items are cheaper than they are for retail. We will be selling the items for around 2x the price. The items are already on sale so this makes it even better for you.
Now note that you are able to use other sites rather than Aliexpress. However the only site that I use is Aliexpress. However I am also sure that there are tons of other sites out there that may be better.

Then you will go to add product and you will copy the title and the description of the post.

JoNjYx.jpg

Then you will add the picture and price/etc..

I suggest putting the price around 1.5-2x the amount that the item is going for. As for the picture it should let you left click on the picture from the website and download it but in some cases it may not so you may have to find the picture on google or you may have to take the picture from your phone.

Now that we have set everything up we finally have our first product up for grabs. I do not think I need to go through this process again for other products so I will leave it at one and go on to the next step. Now that we got our 1st product out we can either buy a domain or we can keep the free Shopify domain that we have been given. Now if you want your website to look more professional then I suggest getting a brand new domain of Namecheap or of shopify.com.

AtLlkB.jpg

Now once you buy the domain you will go to domains on your control panel on Shopfiy and you will transfer the domain over by clicking “Add existing domain”. I suggest buying a domain off Namecheap instead of Shopify so you can save $.

Now once the domain transfers over we are all set and ready to go!

Make sure to at least have around 4-5 products that are related to your niche.
Now you store should be 100% setup. If you want some graphics you can look around for gfx either on Fiverr or other types of websites.

Traffic
Now what we will need to do is get traffic. There is absolutely no way at all that you can make money without driving traffic. There are literally so many ways that you can drive traffic. I will be showing you the most effective and least cost efficient ways. You can also use ad services such as Google Adsense/etc...

The 2 that I will be using is:
  • Google Adsense
  • Twitter
  • You can also use Facebook ads/other types of advertising ways.
(Video on how to use Google Adsense)

(Video on how to use Youtube ads)

Now note that you need to get targeted traffic!

Now for Twitter what you will do is make a brand new account similar to your website. So the example I will be using is fashion so your account on twitter will be named with the word fashion in it. I did not give much thought to the name/etc.. of this since this is just an example. So you will put your website link in your bio. You go to edit profile and you can edit all of that.

Once you do all that I suggest getting a good cover photo and a good background photo for your twitter. Once all of that is done then you will start getting your traffic. For this you can either use a bot or you can do this manually. A bot is good but remember it costs $ for a twitter bot. You are able to Google around and you will find many and many twitter bots. Also, a few Twitter bots are being offered on BHW.

Search for a bigger Twitter account that is fashion related. You will go to the people who are following the account and you will follow them. You can do this via the bot as well. Now majority of these people will follow you back since they are interested in fashion.

Make sure to posts tweets about the products that you are selling before you start getting followers.
Now you will keep on following people from that page or from other pages and stealing their followers.
This is 100% legit to do and other pages do this method all the time.

Now you will find other fashion pages and try to work with them. Try to find pages which have over 5k+ followers. Do not message the pages that have like 10 million followers! Those pages are an already established business and will not be interested at all in working with you.

Now do this over and over again on many pages. Even finding 1 page aka 1 lead can net you around hundreds/thousands and thousands of dollars in profit depending on how long the partnership lasts and how long the partnership is for.

If they agree what you will tell them is the following:

Once they shout out your product and they get you sales then either send them the $ through Paypal or send them the $ through bitcoins. There is no point at all in scamming the people who are willing to work with you!! That is pointless.

Now Twitter may not be the most efficient. You can think outside the box and use Facebook, Instagram or other types of social media as well and advertise on different places. I’m sure that you get the point by now on how to get traffic. Remember this is going to be a long term process and once your business gets rolling it will pretty much be on autopilot. Once the person orders you will just get
the item off Alieexpress or you can ship items yourself.

Just my 2 cents! :)
Enjoy!
great guide, will help a lot of people! partnership idea deserves a post on it's own.

I definitely agree that shopify is a lot easier than wordpress.

But there's huge freedom in wordpress and most of the things in shopify addup to monthly subscription packages..

I believe a newbie would have better value spending those budget in advertising rather than paying for all the addons monthly there..

Again, its just my take on it..

------

Anyone doing dropshipping using WP/WC - Can you suggest me the best theme on WP optimised for conversion ?

You can still get by on Shopify. It’s super noob friendly and can be setup for a cheap price. There are still tons of Free apps that do most things.

Before you even start you need to have a plan in place. Its going to take time and persistence. Ok so your going to hit up ladies fashion? What niche within ladies fashion? Lingere? Swim wear? Get specific, drill down.

Not sure about shipping time to your area? Place an order. See what the product looks like. See how the seller packages the goods. Communicate with the seller. Now you know for sure how long it takes, what it looks like and how the seller communicates.

Look peeps the list goes on and on. Business name, logo design, products, product listings, apps, ads, data research.... yes Dropshipping IMHO still works and still works very well but you can’t just roll outta bed and be like “yup, today I’m gonna make a million by Dropshipping”.

Its a low cost $$$ method yes, but not free. Not free $$ wise and def not free time wise. Nah you gotta plan, plan, plan and persevere.

You should have your sizes worked out before you even open a store not after... you should know how long shipping takes before you open your store not after.... and the list goes on. Plan for success, don’t plan your instantly planning for failure (or something like that).

What do you think about Squarespace instead of Shopify? Do you think that Shopify themes aren't very visually pleasing or that's just me?
Yes even shopify premium themes look very basic to me, squarespace has lot of good options when it comes to premium stuff.

Excellent guide for those new to the niche. Very accessible.

The hard part is applying it but all the resources to succeed are easily available. Time, dedication and some initial investment funds are all that is needed.

I have created a shopify shop and added new products through the oberlo.theme of the store, I used to try a free theme. Can you give me some suggestions about the look of the booth to create more professional?
And I should start receiving traffic from twitter or facebook first?
Thank you

@Festinger
I'm always curious... how you handle refunds? As far as I know, most of the Chinese sellers don't care.
And what about alternatives like Selz or Sellfy? They are more affordable as shopify... any experience?

After the product is purchased, how do I send the product ?, through aliexpress ?, how do I do it ?. Please have patience with me, I am new in this world. Thanks!

Hey Festinger!
First of all, thank you so much for sharing this great informations with us.
i am very happy to find this forum and ithink that people are nice here :)
I just have same questions if you don'tmind:

1)you said that you recommend to start with a starters budget of 300-500 USD.
and we should reserve some money for the advertising, so that means that the mimumum to invest is at least 300 usd inclued the amount for the advertising? or 300 usd + other amount for advertising?

2) i have created a store on shopify but it is closed now because i didn't pay them because i was thinking not start the store until i have all informations i need, like the nich, audinece.... is that a good idea?

3)as i'm beginner ,do you advice me to creat a general store? or unique store?

4)for the work time, i'm at my work (from 8am until 5pm) then i can work on the computer on this busness after this time until 11pm, So is this 6 Hours enought to get same good results in the future? of course i'm free at work and i can use my mobile to work on same stuff if the shopify app allows that.

5) in the beginning,i can invest 300usd per month, Is that amount enught to work on this busness?
If yes how many products you advice me to test at the same time?

I know that i have asked alot of questions, and i'm so sorry.
Thank you so much and all ideas will be very appreciated.
