Before using a Reddit account for marketing, promotion, or engagement, it’s essential to make it look like a genuine, long-term user. Reddit’s algorithm and moderators easily detect new or inactive accounts that suddenly start posting links or promotional content.

This 10–14 day warm-up plan helps you establish natural activity, authentic interactions, and a trusted account reputation. By following it, your profile will appear active, human, and safe to use across most subreddits.

Purpose of the Warm-Up

  • Avoid post removals or shadowbans caused by sudden activity.
  • Build natural karma (post + comment karma).
  • Earn trust within communities.
  • Prepare your account for meaningful engagement or brand promotion.

Days 1–2: Reactivation Phase

  • Log in and secure the account (update email + enable 2FA).
  • Refresh the profile: add an avatar, short bio, and banner.
  • Spend 10–15 minutes browsing various subreddits.
  • Upvote 5–10 posts.
  • Leave 1 short, natural comment (e.g., “Looks great!” or “Totally agree.”).
  • Avoid creating new posts yet.

Days 3–5: Light Engagement

  • Comment on 2–3 posts per day (keep it short and conversational).
  • Upvote 10–15 posts daily across different subreddits.
  • Join 2–3 beginner-friendly subreddits.
  • Make one simple text post — such as a question or lighthearted thought.

Suggested subreddits:

r/CasualConversation • r/AskReddit (avoid spammy replies) • r/Funny • r/MildlyInteresting • r/Pics • r/Memes

Days 6–9: Balanced Activity

  • Post 3–5 comments per day (include replies when others respond).
  • Upvote around 10–15 posts daily.
  • Create 1–2 posts (mix one text post and one image/meme).
  • Join 2 more subreddits to diversify activity.

Suggested subreddits:

r/InterestingAsFuck • r/TodayILearned • r/aww • r/NoStupidQuestions • r/AskMen • r/AskWomen

Days 10–14: Normal Usage

  • Comment 5 or more times daily (mix short replies and thoughtful responses).
  • Upvote at least 15 posts per day.
  • Create 2–3 posts throughout this period (safe topics: memes, fun stories, easy questions).
  • Keep replying to anyone who comments on your posts.
  • Spread your activity across the day — avoid bursts of engagement.

Suggested subreddits:

r/WholesomeMemes • r/LifeProTips • r/YouShouldKnow • r/TodayILearned • r/TooAfraidToAsk

Key Guidelines for Comments & Posts

  • Keep comments casual, short, and natural — don’t write long paragraphs early on.
  • Engage like a normal user: ask small questions, agree with others, or add light humor.
  • Avoid controversial, political, or NSFW subreddits during the warm-up.
  • Stick to safe, relatable content: memes, personal stories, photos, or everyday thoughts.
  • Limit posting to 1 post per day until the account feels established.

✅ After 2 Weeks

Your Reddit account will have a solid activity history — comments, posts, and interactions across low-restriction communities. It will appear as a genuine, long-term user rather than a new or inactive account.

By the end, your account will look authentic, consistent, and trustworthy, making it easier to participate in niche communities or share content naturally.

This is really well thought out. Taking it slow and mixing up your activity like this makes everything look natural. Just keep it chill and don’t try to do too much too fast that’s how you stay under the radar and build real trust.

I’d recommend gradually increasing post length after day 7, it signals a real user rather than a bot.
Yes, I agree with you. Keep the mix and don't just shamelessly promote; provide some value.

Log in and secure the account (update email + enable 2FA).
Thanks so much for your detailed guide, this is really useful!
I'm assuming you're talking about bought accounts here? I know it's almost mandatory to change the email soon after purchase to prevent any foul play, but wouldn't this be a red flag when an account suddenly logs in on a different IP after a break with no activity and changes the email right away? I have no idea if it is, just wondering.

If you are dealing bulk reddit account, you can ask your provider to provide email access alongside. Changing profile details from new ip does raise red flags. But reddit is smooth with this new ip.
When using reddit from new ip correctly. It does not cause any issue.

Thanks, I'm facing Reddit suspension too much
Appreciate it.
thats a really good guide thanks for sharing .
Welcome .

Great stuff. I was suspended (not banned, thank God) for the first time today -- mostly being careless and spamming like a maniac, lol. Gotta slow myself down! Appreciate this!

Bookmarked, thanks for sharing. I kept getting banned on reddit and if I would try reddit again will use your guide.

Hi, do you think logging in through the PC fingerprint browser is riskier or is it safer to log in through the PC Android emulator? I have about 10 accounts that were shadowbanned when logging in through the PC fingerprint browser. I'm considering logging in through the Android emulator app to see if that would be safer. Of course, they all have independent residential IP addresses.

i want to start CPA dating with reddit, can you please tell me what is the safe way to post links on reddit?

I will suggest to Find the sub first which will not block your offers

Thank you for sharing this helpful guide! It's really useful and gives a clear roadmap to safely warm up a Reddit account. Appreciate the effort.

That is you have to figure out for your offer.

Great guide! Thanks!
Could you clarify the following:
1. At what stage can I start posting on my account? (Without links)
2. At what stage can I create my own subreddit?
3. At what stage can I add a link to my website in my profile?

One more question...
Could you please tell me the right way to set up a purchased account? After all, that involves changing the IP address, digital footprint, and email address all at once. How does Reddit view such changes?
