I ordered one diversity link package for my new Amazon site. And I preferred to provide my own 130 articles which were manually spinned and grammar corrected. The guy told me to include links in article itself with LSI keywords. So I did that.

Yesterday I received report of whole campaign after 40 days. And all links built are built using LSI only. Not even a single other anchor type.

There are around 300 links and majority of them are LSI while some of them are Naked URL anchor.

My Issues

1) Links are also traced and indexed in the WMT. Though, he didn't indexed all links at once, he actually dripped it. My concern is, it is a new site so what can be done in such case where all anchors are only LSIs.

2) Second concern is, what will be impact over rankings in such case? If all negative, how could I turn it into positive?

P.S :- there are not any other links built apart from those LSIs. Some i built on my own are not yet indexed.

Pls guide I am in real fix and confused as I have spent a lot on this site in terms of design and contents.

Having a high percentage of the same anchor in your link building profile for a page/pages will probably burn you and lose your rankings.

But you still have a small room for action if done in time:

  • Ask them to change the anchor. This would be the easiest option that can fix the situation if it's not too late now. Even offer them to do it yourself as they might refuse because it will take a while to do that.
  • Dilute the anchor ration. This is a very hard working option because you need to build 3 times more backlinks for the page/pages that are overly optimized so you can normalize the anchor ratio. And the most uncomfortable is the fact you need to do it promptly.

Buddy, Actually he have not used same anchor but he used different LSI anchors for this campaign. Also, very few anchors are repeating and that too only few times.

Also, changing the anchors won't make a sense as said in the OP, almost links are already crawled by google and are visible in the webmaster reports.

What can be done in such case?

P.S :- I'm a bit tied up with same situation as OP and hence talked with him regarding the same. Both are having actually exactly same problem. No difference.

This shreds more light. If this is the case, then there's a chance you could have probably jumped over the trap and are safe.

Have you observed any effect so far from these links?

Actually site is completely new. With around 15 articles and more content is being published. It's being around 2 months and still there is not more than 2-3 impressions per day. Also, there is only 8 clicks in this long timespan of two months. So i can't say whether it is impacted it or not.Even if it is impacted then there would be some solution, I guess.

BTW thanks buddy !

If the seller followed your instructions regarding which anchors / anchor ratio to use, then he has done as you requested.

Though if the seller has just taken it on themselves to do what they did, you need to get them to create more links ( free of charge ) to use different anchors, to try to stop your site getting burned.

Went through this a few years back on a newish site, the clown sent me several hundred links, but I ended up with 75% anchors on 3 anchors.
Site tanked and took ages to recover.

Op If I was at your place I would start creating new links with different anchors, try to make your link profile look natural. Like not every site is going to link you using keyword anchor, try to mix things up.

Actually seller asked me to provide 130 articles including LSI anchors so i included different LSI anchors. I had already given him the desired anchor cloud ratio in the order form itself. And, also confirmed that he will use other anchor types for rest of the process. He actually said that, he uses LSI for contextual links and asked me to provide 130 articles so I provided him including links as any links in an article is counted to be a contextual link. Right?

Then, he submited order after 1 month and i discovered almost all links in my console. While going through each and every link I found that he used my articles for whole process. And instead of using other anchors in rest of process he just used naked URL for profiles and in some occasional links.

When I asked him why you did that, he said, you provided articles with LSI so we used those articles only and did the work accordingly. He completely forgot that he had told me to include other anchor types for rest of the process.

Now, I placed another order to him and asked him to balance anchor cloud. And also, mentioned that he is supposed to use different domains for next order.

Let's see how it turns. I'm afraid of the negative impact and hence looking for the solution.

I'd be insisting he corrected this for free or refunding you the price you paid.

You don't order a steak rare and it comes out served extra well done and be happy with it.

Actually, as a solution he told me that his team will revise the links and will change the anchors. But, I thought, it won't be a good move because almost all links are already being indexed and crawled by google. So I planned to place second order.
