So, I've recently found a great site for writing and receiving guest posts.

At the start I wrote a few guest posts for others to get a backlink or two, but now I'm thinking about accepting guest posts on some of my sites.

However, I'm worried this could have some negative effects on my site such as lower PR, google thinking I'm just back linking random sites etc.

So, what I basically want to know is do you think accepting guest posts is worth it? Getting free articles is really tempting for me and it might mean that I'll never have to write for my own sites again!

    Thanks

    Home Page:
It will not hurt you, just minimize their anchor text within their content and must be put in the proper category within your website.

Depends on the main objective for your website. If you have a steady traffic flow and plan on building traffic outside of Google, then I probably wouldn't recommend doing a guest blogging exchange service.

Instead do it the old school way and reach out to other blogs in your niche, and provide some bad-ass content for them in return for a link + traffic. If done properly you can grow your visitors, increase your rankings, and not have to jeopardize your website with low quality content.

So again, it all depends on your end objective.

Thanks but I'm mainly talking about allowing other people to put their guest posts on my sites right now. I'm just doing it for the free content really.

If it's good content then i wouldn't see the harm in it. Just add some specifications before allowing them to post like one backlink and one anchor link.

Yeah I already said that just one link is allowed.

I'm hoping more content = more traffic, some backlinks even?, better PR, more money!

You can start accepting guest posts... To avoid any sort of penalty or Google warning, you can moderate your blog strongly. Just accept quality guest posts. This will gives you quality content and a good backlink to the contributing blogger.
