Guest posts with rel="sponsored"?

Wondering about selling guest posts on my website, but Google is cracking down on guest posts. Should I use the rel="sponsored" for the links? Would people still want to buy rel="sponsored" or even rel="nofollow" guest post links? Or is it fine to sell guest post with rel="********" and hope Google does not issue a site penalty?

How would Google know it's a guest post to begin with? And did Google actually say you shouldn't allow people to guest post on your website?

Google is able to detect the guest post by patterns and unusually link targets, https://www.searchenginejournal.com/guest-post-manual-actions/351692/ posted about this. Google is not disallowing guest posts to be published on your website, they simply say that selling links in guest posts without disclosing them or without rel="nofollow" / rel="sponsored" is against their webmaster guidelines for which they issue penalties for your site when breaking them.

I think you'll be fine selling the add guest post as long as it's done discreetly and the buyer doesn't have a very spammy website. There's literally over tens of thousands of blogs doing guest posts.

Also I doubt many people will pay for a rel sponsored link, I imagine it doesn't do much for rankings.

To be honest I think it's a bit cheeky for Google to be policing who you can and can't link to but that's another matter :)

I definitely wouldn't. What's the point? You buy guest posts to get backlinks that in the eyes of Google make your site worthy of being ranked higher, adding the rel means Google knows to ignore it for input into ranking which defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place.
 
it is like wanting to pay for a hooker and they tell you that there will be a glass wall between you 2. would you buy?! probably not! so same goes with you wanting to sell guest post. people want them for link juice and nothing else!
 
Is anyone even using these attributes ? lets face it, how do google really identify if it's a guest post ?
