I have a PR 3 tech blog. I get a lot of guest post requests through my guest posting page. The articles that I receive are pretty good.

Are there any repercussions in allowing too many guest posts with a do-follow link or providing a do-follow link to one particular site again and again?

For the most part you shouldn't have an issue however you want to be careful about where you spread your link authority. For example if there are specific keywords you have to rank for, you don't want others ranking well for those key terms as well.

I dont think there will be any consequences. But at the same time, you must be bit cautious about the type of link and keyword they are targeting. Make sure that you dont lend your links to any spam website. I hope this will be useful for you.
 
No problem actually. It is an important SEO strategy. But you should judge the link/links and web sites before approve. Actually most SEO expert did this for get there links on others web sites. Avoid spam sites.

There will be a problem - if the articles not passing copyscape or spun (looks spammy)
There will be a problem - if the links / articles are irrelevant to the blog (looks unnatural)
There will be a problem - If you allow more than 2 links in the article (looks paid links)

There is no problem, if you follow all the above guidelines for guest post:)

So, final verdict - Posting guest articles is good for SEO. But don't let the anchor text for the link be the keywords you are targeting.
 
Of course there are implications. If your blog is brand new and you post a ton of spun guest articles with links to spammers you will be gone in a minute.
 
unique articles + niche relevant links to blogs doesn't cause any damage even with any further Google Updates.
 
Rightly said! No Google update cause damage if links and posts are niche relevant with unique article.

It's good for SEO coz Google will come to know what my niche is by scanning the websites that I point to. Thus I get more targetted traffic for my niche.

You also need to be aware that many do*ollow links will bleed PR from your site.

I did this once, got aout 20 guest articles, and went from PR5 to PR4 at the next update. It took 6 months of quality articles with no links to get it back.

Might have been a coincidence, but keep it in mind.
