How do you attract guest bloggers in your niche?

Alternatively, has writing a guest post for another blog driven traffic to your blog?

Please share your story below.

Guest posting has definitely helped me in many aspects. It gives me niche relevant backlink, authority link juice and a decent traffic.

I always contact bloggers and offer them an article which discusses about important topics which is least covered on his blog. In that way he will always be interested in what we are offering.

Please clarify: are you looking for guest bloggers to publish on your site? Or, are you looking for sites to publish your guest articles?

First to attract guest bloggers put a page on your site seeking guest bloggers, put up your guidelines, give them a way to contact you(I use contact forms so I don't get file attachments, and usually just a pitch).
Include some sort of specific requirement (must answer a question or something) in your guidelines around point 5-6 and if you don't see it, toss the pitch because they didn't read the guidelines.
I also will send out tweets, Google+ posts, Facebook posts, looking for guest authors.
I have also gone to Tumblr, blogger, WordPress, weebly, and searched for niche related sites. I will approach those writers, because generally they are writing with passion or are SEO clueless and I can capitalize on their post, while they get a good backlink.

Basically, I've seen few guys running skype group for guest posting.
People just comment niche they want and the guys give post.
Some of them charge for it and some of them give for free
