With Google’s recent AI model release, guest posting has become quite tough. SEMrush and Ahrefs are also showing the impact of AI visibility. So, what are the future possibilities will guest posting still remain effective?

Yes guest posting is still effective in 2025, especially on niche-relevant, high-authority sites; quality and topical relevance matter more than ever.

After so many article added in website still keywords indexing but not showing traffic in semrush and ahref

I don't see text based website going far from 2026
 
Guest posting is still effective because it targets your traffic, not your Google ranking. When you gain traffic, your site will automatically start appearing at the top of Google.
 
Yes, it still works quality and relevance are the key now.

Position 1 ranking does not guarantee click through since G is scraping us and proving AI result answers.

Stop wasting your time optimizing for Google. Not worth it.

Stop using Google. If everyone stops using Google G will have to change something or die.
 
Still works if you focus on real content and niche relevance. AI updates just make it harder for spammy posts, not genuine ones.

It is still effective. But you have to maintain quality.

I have been wondering about this too. I started my first affiliate blog two months ago and was about to invest in guest posts but now I am second guessing if it is still worth the money.
 
Honestly, guest posting is definitely getting harder, especially after Google’s new AI model updates. The focus now is shifting more toward content authenticity and real value, not just backlinks.

I noticed that guest posting contents are more cited than content of your website. It looks google prefers when someone else say something about yourself than you say anything about yourself in your website.
 

Yes, it works well only for relevant, high-quality guest post links. Google always counts relevant and highly topical ones as valid.​


So, you must differentiate between truly valuable links and manipulated ones
