I've been getting a ton of emails from people offering paid guest posting services and one that stood out was from msn.com. I ran a search for "guest posting msn.com" and the internet is filled to the brim with people reselling msn.com guest posting publication and I can't help but feel like I can just go straight to the source. Anyone know how to go about this and just get my own article published?

it's tricky to go straight to the source with msn they usually go through agencies or resellers but you could try reaching out to their editorial team directly might work ?
 
Gotcha, thank you! The only reason I feel like I can do it myself is the sheer volume of people that are reselling it as a service, and it looks like a ton of them are just everyday guys.
I feel like there's some backdoor or something that I'm missing.

Media buying and PRs are mostly a volume game. One has to drop in a deposit to buy them in advance and then trade them later.
 
From what I've seen, most of these offers for MSN.com guest posts are likely tied to partnerships or networks that have access to syndicated content rather than direct publishing rights. If you want to go straight to the source, you might need to focus on building relationships with content syndication platforms or news agencies MSN partners with. It could also help to pitch compelling content to Microsoft Start (MSN’s platform) if they allow submissions.
 
If everyone is selling it, this means it is easy to get it, no matter how valuable this link may look in your eyes at this point in time. Furthermore, this means this liks has zero SEO value.
Either press release distribution, or no-follow link, or some subdomain thing, or anyone can contribute....something like that.

If you are searching top players for links here, I think you will get dissapointed since I tried getting some top tier links, and all I got was a dozen of same people, selling trash I never asked for.

Sorry you had such a bad experience but the above isn't really true on paid publishings. A publishing reseller cold emailed me in October and I ignored him initially, but after revisiting his list recently noticed some promising sites. I emailed him back and he got a guest blog article written by me published on a site with 105k monthly visitors and a 79 DR rating as per Ahrefs. I'll be working with him frequently moving forward.

The vast majority of resellers do offer trash, but stating they're all of no value isn't accurate, as some are legit.

OK, good for you. How much was that link and what do you get when you search that site like this in Google "site:domain.com viagra " ?

an article published directly on MSN.com isn’t straightforward, as MSN doesn’t typically accept unsolicited guest posts.

If you want to publish directly on MSN.com, try reaching out to their editorial team. But instead of a generic “Hi, I’d like to submit a guest post,” it’s better to pitch them a topic that actually fits their audience.

Check what kind of articles they already publish and think about what unique angle you can offer. If your piece has real value—like expert insights, exclusive data, or something fresh—you might even be able to land a placement on mutually beneficial terms. The key is to focus on why it’s valuable for them, not just what you want.
 
To get published on MSN.com, you have three options:

  1. Apply as an MSN Content Partner – MSN Partner Application (Best for long-term syndication).
  2. Publish on an MSN-Syndicated Website – Find a website MSN already republishes from and submit your article there.
  3. Use a Press Release – Distribute news via PR Newswire or Business Wire, which MSN may pick up.
Most "MSN guest post" offers are resellers posting on third-party sites syndicated to MSN. Skip the middleman if possible!

Yes, you can skip the middleman if possible, and sometimes, you may need to.

There are times when resellers become reckless and publish content that violates MSN policies.

When this happens, MSN simply removes the entire reseller account. As a result, end users lose their links and regret it.
