Do not waste your time on the PBN anymore!
Google seems to be aware of expired domains / PBN's:

This is a question that I asked a while ago for one of my clients that got a link penalty because of PBN's.
The safe way would be going for guest posts but It depends if you're looking for a long term website or just a chum and burn.
You can go with both. They have negatives and positives, but if you have the budget ill say the Guest Posts are better long term solution. Not because PBNs will harm your website, but cost wise a good PBN vs Guest Post is pretty close, however the guest post doesnt need your attention as much as the PBNs (your GP wont get hacked, or taken down by DMCA notice, or the cheap hosting to disappear etc).
LoL mate - this is 2019 video. Google knows about PBNs and expired domains, since they are in the game. However knowing about them and battling them successful are quite different stories.
Guest posts are as much against Google guidelines as PBNs. So following your logic Google algorithms may at some point recognize all type of guests posts and penalize your website? If you do it right the PBN is actually MUCH safer than any guest post as you have full control over everything. Want examples? Check tgdaily.com, or brashgames.co.uk. See where their traffics go. Do you know what they will answer if you ask to get your link removed, because their website get hit? "More money". Thats what they ask for to remove your links. You are in GP business, I get that. But dont think that those links are in any way safer than PBNs, they are not.I was just trying to let him know that PBN's can get him penalized, and yes, if you do it right you won't get penalized but for how long? How long will it take for Google algorithms to automatically figure out all type of PBN's, even undropped ones? If you're in the short game, sure, go spam your website with PBN's.
