This time, we will continue explaining how to quickly filter domains using a tool.

All links and scripts mentioned in the article will be listed at the bottom.

I have found that finding good guest post platforms is quite challenging. Striking a balance between price and traffic is not easy. Therefore, I developed a small tool to improve the quality and speed of filtering.

As shown in the image below, column A in Excel is where domains are pasted. Once the script runs, the system will automatically generate data...

The columns are the key metrics I consider. First, I sort column H in descending order and select only domains where Traffic from the previous 1 month is ≥ 80,000.

Next, I analyze the difference between Traffic from the previous 1 month and Traffic from the previous 2 months. If the Traffic from the previous 1 month is significantly lower than that of the previous 2 months or previous 3 months, it indicates that the site may have been penalized by Google, leading to a drop in traffic...

If the traffic drops by 20% in a month, it may be a warning sign.

Refer to the chart below. Next, observe column O, which represents Search Traffic / Direct Traffic. I will retain values ≥ 0.9.

A high direct traffic value usually indicates that the website is a social media platform. However, if it is not a social media site but still has high direct traffic, there are three possible reasons:

  • The domain name is easy to remember (e.g., chatgpt.com).
  • The website has a strong community where members form their own circles (e.g., medium.com).
  • The traffic is paid. (This refers to purchasing traffic, not Google Ads.)

Regardless of the reason, logically, search traffic should be higher than or slightly lower than direct traffic. Therefore, I recommend setting the ratio ≥ 0.9.

In the indicators I use, I don’t mind whether the website is AI-generated, nor do I mind the language or even the website category. However, the difference shouldn’t be too extreme—for example, if you find a pet website publishing jewelry-related articles, that would be quite unusual.

As long as a posting website uses any unconventional tactics but hasn’t been detected by Google, I consider it a good website.

So far, this method has successfully eliminated many low-value domains. If there are any other important indicators I may have overlooked, please let me know.

Additionally, the program execution process is relatively simple. Please refer to the chart below.

Please pay attention to the second green box in the program—it requires a token to be entered.

[How to Obtain the Token]

As shown in the image below, you can visit the following URL to obtain a token. There is a free tier available, but personally, I find that spending $20 per month for filtering is worth it, so I opted for the paid version.

Refer to the image below; the green box indicates where you can obtain the token.

Currently, this method efficiently identifies high-quality posting websites, but there is still a relatively high chance of selecting manipulated or disguised sites.

We have not yet considered factors such as average article ranking, keyword search volume, CTR, etc.

Incorporating these factors would require an additional spreadsheet and a separate API token. If time permits in the future, I will share both the article and the program with everyone.

Based on my experience, I can provide an approximate ratio...

If there are 100 posting websites, using this tool for filtering will narrow it down to around 10.
However, among these 10, only about 3 to 4 are truly valuable.

I'm currently busy with other projects and tests, but I will share more if I have the opportunity in the future.

[Additional Explanation]

The tools mentioned in this article can be accessed via the link below and copied to your own Google Drive.

Based on the domains filtered in this article, I recommend referring to the following content to further refine the selection. Many sellers label links as D0follow, but in reality, they may be Nofollow.
