Guest blogging gone wrong?

Guys, what's your idea to handle situations where you bulk contact webmasters for permission to post your article but after you sent them the money , they just ignore you?

13 webmasters ignores me after received my money ...money is ranged between 40-90 $ per post..


In my country, people didn't use PayPal

strange stuff. maybe you should choose the webmasters carefully? or find someone who can pay paypal for them - to make it safe.
or use another providers of guest posts?

I didn't every had such a situation. They always post the content after the payment.
Moreover, most of the webmasters should post the article first, and then - charge the payment from you - that's better
 
I’d suggest charging back from your bank or whichever payment processor you used for this.

I don’t know why they’d do that but how were these webmasters verified as the owner & how were they contacted?

That's odd.

I've actually not had that issue before but most webmasters I work with agree to publish first before I send payment.

How did you make payment, why not file a complaint through the same medium?
 
This is strange. One person doing such thing is understandable, but 13? May be you should check if you are contacting right people who are the webmasters / owners of the site.

What process do you follow to find out the sites for guest posting and how do you reach out to them?
 
You must check the site's reputation and how is the readers' engagement before you send them money.
 
may be you sent payment to scammers who pretend to be owner of those sites, but actually they are not.

always contact threw contact form or mail id mention in website, if you are dealing on any other platform, then dont pay upfront.
 
Why not send half of the money, then after the post you send the 2nd half. 13 persons ran off with the money sounds so weird, you sure you were talking with the owners?
 
I've purchased from hundreds of domains and only had an issue once. I disputed in PayPal and the website owner posted my link right away. It's important to use a payment system that can protect you.
 
Just use payment methods where you can ask a refund,
PayPal is a good option for this as you can do so even after months in case they remove the link/post,

Scamming is becoming more common practice than ever nowadays,
Better be safe than sorry

I scrape the serp result for specific keyword (local) and contact them via their contact us page ..

some are not openly allowing guest post but after conversation via email they agreed ...but once I sent them the money they didn't reply even though I sent them the article ..

Payment are sent via mobile otp similar like Paypal , I already spoke with customers support they said they don't cover agreement like this ..I need to think a way so stuff like this doesn't happen in the future , maybe I should ask the webmasters to publish my articles first before I sent them the money?

Yes...via contact us page ...I'm guessing from language in email and blogging style , websmaster are mostly teenager

ask them to post your article
then send them money.

but then there is a chance they might remove such article afterward.
 
Its a huge scam if you are cheated!

Kindly have a deal with the webmasters were you can go for refund option!!

Contact the legit sites and do proper research before the payment!!

If you doing a deal, you should use the safer way of handling money, so that claiming can be possible.

Beware hereafter and this will taught you not to believe something like this later!!
 
It seems like you found a network of websites that is controlled by one or a group of scammers.
 
I guess you have not contacted the admin of the site you want to post your article but contacted a self-claimed owner of a particular site you're interested in.

Give more details, do you get the contact directly from the website and contact the admin?
 
I've never actually had that happen before.

It seems strange that you had it happen 13 times, but I suppose crazier things have happened.
 
Maybe webmasters are fed up with all the spam they are getting. Still it is not right to take someone's money and run. Karma will get them, i guarantee you.
