How much do you fuys negotiate the price ?

Heres a story that just happended to me.

I found a blog via competitors backlinks analysis. I sent an email to the blog and got a reply from a too obvious american name.... price thar want for a dr 70 site with good traffic is 200 $.

Couple weeks later i check some facebook groups where people advertise guests posts ... i see the same site for 30$ ....

Does this mean i should try to negociate price every time ? How do you guys handle these things ?

Don't say your price yet. Maybe they will accept it for free.

If they ask for money, negotiate with a lower rate. not higher, as those site owners don't know the real cost of placing links, and don't know anything about SEO.

Of course they do , im talking to well known blogs that have ton of other guest posts.

I usually send a genral email saying i want to post a blog. And then thet reply with prices ....

Yes, at most times there's negotiation and it's always better to try getting the best price.

I guess it's probably because it's a part of link farm.
Traffic and DR metrics are a good starting point, but you should also check the backlinks, ranking keywords, top ranking pages manually.
You need to ensure the quality of backlinks is good and it's not used to inflate the metrics.
The ranking keywords will give your idea what they are ranking for and where the site is getting the traffic.
Inflated sites use easy to rank long tails, informative keywords, etc to drive traffic.
If those keywords are unrelated to your niche and/or intent that won't benefit.

Always scope out the market, Facebook groups spill the tea. Had a similar run-in, found a goldmine, got quoted high. Checked the groups, bam, it was a steal.

i mean i found a really big link farm probably with PBN, but a lof of those PBN were good quality tech blogs which is what I needed with high traffic . DR above 50 and traffic above 10K

Got quoted for 200$ when I reached the site directly. and then I saw this site on a list on a facebook group for 25$.

The funny thing is when you mail those site (which are all owned by indians) , you alreays get a a reply from a over the top english fake name like "briggit jones " or some ether funny name

yea I just realized a paid way too much. I mean some of the blogs I paid where real blogs that are worth prices of 100-150$.

but in general I think the best way is to copy links from competitor backlins reports , I mean that's how you know those links are good right? otherwise those sites wouldn't get raned

Obviously, you can find many sites being offered at an extremely low price in social media groups. Maybe you could check the sample. If you receive a post directly from the publisher, you can obtain it from the root domain. However, if you choose social media sellers, they might compromise by publishing the post on a profile link with no indexing option (robots blocked) for $30.

Negotiating $200 down from $30 is impossible when a blog is worth paying $200.

Yea the links were real. The blog was worth around 70$ tops , but i guess its a link farm
