Guys, I got another idea.
Is anybody of you able to design a little one-pager (like a salespage), explaining this method to a Newbee Doctor?
My page is now on Google Page 2 and I called some Docs and most of the time they would like to receive some further information what exactly we are doing.
As here on BHW there are so many awesome sale threads with cool design - could anybody do such a little page for us forum members?

New Potential Client comes to Google and searches for "Dentist in XXX" OR New Potential Client arrives our site via other channels
Potential Client finds our informative Portal on Page 1 and clicks on our Website
Potential Client can see the Link to your Website and clicks on that Link
Potential Client calls you und converts to a new Client.
Like a Flowchart or whatever with some cool graphics and design.
It would be great if somebody could design sth. like that and share it for the whole forum here. Im willing to pay for your creative Sales Page (should be editable in PhotoShop for new projects and other niches).

I have the same question.. I checked my area, domains are still available and would work as its cheaper to fly to another country do your dentist then where i am...

Yes, This does work. Forget about the idea of selling it by the lead. Business owners think internet scam and co op bullshit advertising when you try to sell them "a lead". Most business owners are familiar with guys calling them up and selling using the word "advertising". They get calls all day long... because eventually he tells one of them yes when they call at the right time.
Do not go for EMDs anymore and forget the minisites...
Build yourself a blog network of "specialists" in the prospects field, complete with matching social accounts. Fill them in with content and do what you need to do to give them a boost in Alexa (just like a flip site). With a good Alexa rank and all of that MEASURABLE TRAFFIC that "somehow" each blog gets, you can call local businesses all day long and sell ad space on the sites. Just be sure to have a way for your social accounts to be able to reply to that one "researching" prospect that reaches out to them. You want the social accounts to vouche for you as he is the one most likely to give you the money as you will be the first on to ever "actually check out OK".

I would recommend everyone do this, but change it slightly to paid traffic and not SEO.
A few years ago I had about 3-5 clients under me with this and then as soon as an update came out, rankings dropped and income went to zero.
Obviously I could have done my SEO better at the time, but it just goes to show you - you could build this up, think you are doing everything the right way, and then suddenly your rankings drop.
The safer way is paid traffic. If you know you can generate a lead for $10 and your client wants 10 leads per month, that is a cost of $100 to you. You bill them what you want to make on top. So maybe you will bill them $500 for the month, etc.
It also gives the client control, do they want 10, 20, 30 or 40 leads? The more they want, the more you make.
Or you could just charge a management fee for your work and have a separate ad spend, but now we are moving a lot further away from the original model.

Anyone know a service on BHW that can rank local keywords?
If a thread is going on for a while, even for years and people still participate, it means there is value in it, otherwise activity would die off. The original topic of this thread is still valuable and it can obviously still be applied today, even though circumstances might have changed. The beauty of a forum is that the community decides how long discussion carry on, not individuals...
