The score changes right? If so, that's kinda expected. It should have to do more with the server response than the tool. The server may sometimes take more time to respond. The results of the GTMetrix often change every re-run. There is no consistency, unlike google pagespeed.

Any reason why you trust ps over gt? Google usually don’t give a shit if one of their tools is a bit half assed. Gt on the hand will likely rely greatly on the reputation of their app.

You can bash them as much as you want, but the fact is that their score is damn accurate; and they show you why something is wrong. It's upto you to use them, or any other tool like YSlow. The point of this thread was not to praise GPS but to point out that gtmetrix sucks.

Really wish the PageSpeed Insights have a function allowing us to block all ads on the site.

Or, you could probably defer the ad scripts to load after window has loaded? That should be better for UX as well, I think.

Ofcourse it changes on a re-run, dns caches and so on is up to date suddenly near the test point after first run.
I use GTmetrix, web.dev and Pingdom in my job, done so for years, no problem, they measure differently in their own way, just need to learn them.
