gscraper question

in english buddy meaning what exactly mate.
It means:

Git clone https://github.com/0xd4d/de4dot
cd de4dot
git submodule update --init --recursive
git pull
git submodule update --init --recursive

im not a coder so again.........in english

In plain English, it means that if the games do not stop and the program will not run, then I will release the source code. When every proxy, and every URL and every search goes through the GScraper server, you can no longer stop the program from running. I also made a few changes to how the search is conducted, but allowed the key (with changes) to be sent to China.

If Hawke does not want to support the program, that is fine. However, if that is the case, then the program needs to be unlocked. I am ensuring that it will be unlocked.

well i wont get into that as its dodgey ground on bhw.
still doesnt explain why for 18 months almost no proxies worked
in gscraper - now last 2 days where back to 5-700 without an
update

More often than not, the block is at the GScraper server and is used to coerce you into purchasing their proxy service.

It could also be that your proxies are different, but my experience would suggest not.

yeh i kinda figured 2 years ago he was port blocking certain proxies

That's what I love about reverse engineering with asm. You can find tons of shady things like these.

I had a clue of what was happening but I didn't have any proof as I didn't bother disassemble the program. Now, my theory is proofed to be correct.

I would bet $1k there won't be any updates at all. The owner, @*Hawke* won't do it due to it's proxy service.

If you want, I can help with unlocking the program or whatever you need to make it run good as it should. Such practices shouldn't be allowed in this forum (tricking people to buy your stuff while blocking your service) and the owner should be banned imo.

What do you think mods?

Dead sure his proxies are not the problem. Do you think we could, somehow, stop sending requests to his server and instead send them to our own? But what I don't understand is, why does he need the software to send requests to his server? I know about auth and licensing but why else would it be needed?

news flash.
gscraper has put out its first update since 2015 - only took them 2 years.
lets still see if there still blocking use of your own proxys. will update.

well just tested 4000 public proxies on the new update
i cant see whats changed......100 proxies worked.

so the block out is still on

It is a little more than that. I have removed all contact with the GScraper servers in the last version (1.3.2) and run proxies through it. With a base of 647 proxies that passed GSA proxy scraper with settings for Gscraper, when testing with Gscraper only 11 proxies passed. Using my own proxy scraper, when I have a base of 200 proxies that passed the http test only six or seven will pass the above GScraper.

What is going on is that the testing that Gscraper uses is gorked somehow. I have not yet looked into that issue because I had been tied up removing all gscraper server access and am now removing the registry entries and moving them to a file. After that, I will look into the proxy access issue where the problem is.

Another thing that you may have noticed is that Gscraper is now having problems scraping Google. I have only tested this with my stripped down version and versions 1.3.2 and 1.3.3. I will look into that as well. Part of the problem is that many of the dotNet functions that Gscraper calls are denigrated and outdated.

I do believe that the update of GScraper was in response to my mentioning that I reverse engineered the code. I am currently unable to crack 1.3.3, but my efforts are spent elsewhere at the time.

i still believe they are blocking proxies from the test, as the use of public proxies didnt drop over
time, as uptil 2015 u could get 500-1000 working everyday. then bang in 1 day almost 99% of
anything tested in gscraper fails. its no co-incidence that all proxies tested are tested on there
server so they no what people are testing.

also - 3 weeks ago for 3 days gscraper went back to passing 500-1000 proxies for a full 3 days
then on day 3, right back to 100. this is why i believe its a deliberate block,
to force u into there own proxy sub
