When I added the recently bought aged domain to GSC, it showed all the backlinks. Now suddenly, it's showing none even though all the backlinks are alive.

This resulted in the disappearance of my ranking articles in SERPs even though all the pages are properly indexed.

I think something happened when the site got hacked as the Top Linking Sites shows a domain with 49 links that are spammy. However, the target and source are the same URLs.

Honestly sound like a glitch. A GSC issue rather than SEO one.

Is the link profile mostly clean or toxic?

And yes, compromised website can act like this.

If your site's backlinks disappeared after adding the aged domain to Google Search Console and there's a hacking suspicion, check for security issues and report it. Also, review the Top Linking Sites for spammy links; some cleanup might help restore your rankings.

Check you Backlink status, If you find spammy backlinks reach out to the webmasters of those sites and request the removal of the links. After ensuring that your website is free from any security threats and you've addressed the spammy backlinks, you can request Google to re-crawl and reindex your website through Google Search Console
