Not sure if this is the best place for this but it seemed most fitting.

Basically I was looking at our search console for my jobs website and we have hundreds of pages. But I started to look at the pages that were crawled but not currently indexed and found hundreds of URLs that have shit like "viagra-online-now" and other wild stuff.

Could that be some black hat tactic by another competitor somehow getting google to think we are writing about some wild topics so we get lowered in the search results?

And if that's not the case should I even bother with these hundreds of links that somehow ended up in our GSC? They are no where else so its weird that google even claims to have crawled them.

That's 404 link spam.
So it is potentially harmful to our ranking or is it something I can just ignore? Never encountered it before.

I can disavow them I guess just to be safe through GSC

Export them, then bulk create redirects using a WordPress, the redirects should go to a category page.

I think You have a competitor , who is trying to bring down your site . Disavow can work

normally, google ignores negative SEO, but if you've been hacked you kind of need to do something about it :)

Unfortunately, I'm not knowledgeable enough to provide a solution, but I've heard someone saying that these URLs are usually stored into your site's database, so check the MySQL database of your Wordpress installation (inside of your cpanel), and if you see these URLs in there delete them.

That's all I can think of, if someone else has other suggestions feel free to share them!
