GSC Impressions & Clicks

Just wondering if anyone can tell me why impressions were lower than clicks but now are higher than clicks? Does it make a difference? I think it is just how the graph is laid out but want to make sure something is not wrong.

The more I look at it the more I'm pretty sure I just increased impressions at a higher rate than increasing clicks. Which probably isn't a great thing even though clicks have increased some. Hopefully as time goes on clicks will start increasing at a higher rate.

It's how the graph is laid out but also tells you are getting less clicks per impressions meaning ctr is descreasing and average position is increasing.

I Don't think there is too much I can do other than give it time and keep optimizing things after giving it a few months to see what happens. At the beginning of that performance chart we had about 12k keywords attached to the site but now have roughly 45k. I imagine CTR and average position will take a toll because of it.

Been busting my ass this year mang. This place has always had a high CTR though.

I wish it was still above 20% but we have increased keywords a lot which waters it down if I had to guess.

This is to be expected if you are ranking for new keywords.

As you start getting impressions at the bottom of search results the chances of getting clicks are very low. Obviously most of the clicks come from the top few spots so once you get those spot your clicks per impression should be going up

Don't worry about it, Some of your new keywords increase the ranking position and that"t why the graph shows like this. And The December Google spam update makes some irrelevant clicks. It's not exact what you see on the google search console. Wait at least 1/2 weeks you get what you expect. My 2 website showing like this, So this is my real experience.
