GSA SER Question

I used GSA SER on a site for about 5 hours a day for 3 days and it only built about 50 submitted and 60 verified links or something close to that. I put it as inactive and did not use it for about 18 hours then I activated it again and within 20 minutes it already found 47 do follow and 21 no follow links but within the 3 days it had found only a little more than that so is this just a coincidence or is there something more to it? Thanks.
