GSA Search ranker used by competitor

hi guys,

Recently a website of one of my clients has been seeying a lot of unnatural links like 100's a week being directed at their site? Now i am wondering if a competitor of my clients website uses GSA search ranker and decides to point this to my clients site to create a spammy profile?

A: is this a known method to screw other websites?
B: How can i block this?

If your client's site is high authority and is well aged it should typically have a minimal effect. And if the anchors are clearly negative SEO it should be less of a problem.A lot depends on your client's site and its history.

If your link profile is otherwise VERY clean you can simply Disavow the shit links. There may still be SOME turbulence but long term the odds are in your favor if you are working with a quality site.
