GSA Search Engine Ranker Bandwidth

Much cheaper to get a VS for $29 a month and run it 24/7 on that.
It does use a lot of bandwidth (and proxies). VS Darn site cheaper.

Most Virtual servers running 24/7 will pay for themselves in electricity savings alone.

Yeap, just get a VPS.
I got a VPS and just let it run GSA 24/7 with 10 campaigns at 150 threads. All is well.

Can you recomend a VPS service and are they hard to set up?

Yeah Im interested in getting a VPS up and running, but like the op dont know whats involved in setting it up and running it. For $20 a month I know the best thing is just to jump in and find out but if anyone can direct me to a simple set up guide/thread on BHW then thanks in advance

There's a basic VPS setup guide here:

Just treat the VPS like a separate PC that you run 24/7. As for recommendations, just look for consistently good reviews on BHW and on domaining/hosting forums. I'd also suggest not to get one with (SEO) tools pre-installed, but a 'clean' one on which you can install your own tools.

Great video thanks SEOWizz, I already have my GSA set up, do you know how I would go about moving my whole set up over to the VPS, do you know if I'm allowed to have GSA on another machine.

Just save the project settings
RMC on project > Modify Project > Backup. This will save the project settings as a .ser file.

Then install GSA SER on your VPS.
Modify Project > Restore. Browse to the saved .ser file (above).

For the General Options (Submission/Captcha/Indexing), copy the GSA SER config file onto your VPS into the relevant folder:
..\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\GSA Search Engine Ranker\config.ini

do you know if I'm allowed to have GSA on another machine.
You're allowed to have it installed on 2 machines for each licence that you buy.

You can install it on as many computers as you need but can only run it on 2 at the same time.

It's an excellent program. Very good for inner linking and diversification.
It's one of 7 or 8 tools I now wouldn't be without.
