1) Find the Right Subreddits

2) Give Value First
I didn’t drop my IG link immediately.

3) The Sneaky Link Trick

Shadowbanning is a real risk if you’re blatantly self-promoting. That’s why the "value first" approach is key. Reddit’s algorithm (and mods) nuke accounts that drop links without context, but they rarely flag genuine engagement.
The trick is to make your profile worth the click before hinting at your IG. When people ask for your handle organically (like in AMAs or niche discussions), Reddit sees it as natural interest, not spam. That said, always have backup accounts. Even legit users get caught in filters- diversifying traffic sources (Quora, Twitter threads, etc.) helps too.
