Does the notification "your reel gives credit to the original creator" affect reach or account growth?

Also does reposting original reels without editing hinder growth? Cos I post and only just get few hundred views, sometimes not even upto 100 views, don't know if this is normal when starting to grow account

Giving credit doesn’t hurt reach. It’s actually good practice. But reposting without any edits often limits growth since the algorithm favors original or unique content, especially when starting out.
 
That credit tag doesn’t hurt your reach, what really slows growth is reposting reels as-is without touching anything. The algo doesn’t like duplicates, even if you’re not getting flagged.

When you're starting from zero, you need something that stands out, and pure reposts usually blend into the noise. Try adding your own hook, trim the clip differently, or remix the audio, small edits can make a big difference early on.

Add some personal edit to the reels via editing it, dont copy paste as it is, and use metadata changers online, there are a lots of them

New account will rarely go viral, especially when you are reposting reels as the original is. just keep being consistent and remix reels before posting.
 
If you're unsure of what part to edit, focus on reel covers, Canva has customs covers too, work deeply on the topic that makes up the cover. Think of any possible click bait, as a beginner, to get the views first. Remember, don't disappoint your audience with low level contents.

You will need to repurpose the content like others have mentioned above, to get good results you want IG to label your content as original, if your video gets the "original creator tag" then IG does not consider your content as original resulting in worse results.
 
It doesn’t hurt your account directly.
Reposts, especially if detected, get less exposure, even if you're giving credit.
 
you need to edit (metadata, custom etc) , although not hurt directly, but not good for your grow
 
For posts that are original, you can post them a couple times and that's fine. A couple agencies gave us feedback and said that after posting the original reel the second time, they got more exposure. However, it is good to change the hash and meta.

How does the algorithm, reel engagement and seo now work?
 
Edit your reels abit, like placing any humor comment between a reel, any game video, a reaction, any meme. Also creating your own reel format with your page colors helps followers recognize you and it also becomes edited content.
