What’s up everyone I was thinking of starting a lyric YouTube channel. I’m not interested in monetizing it like my other channel. I just want the traffic and Im sure Ill do well with it.

Unfortunately not very familiar with youtube copyright. Would my channel be deleted if I have songs on it?

Again not even trying to get monetized, just purely interested in the traffic.

Thanks boys

If I'm not mistaken, a channel like that would only generate revenue for the copyright holders of the songs you upload, only if they don't copyright strike with the intent to shut your channel down.

I also thought about starting a channel like this a while back, purely for the traffic and redirecting to CPA offers.

Yeah I don’t mind they take the money as long as they don’t shut me down. Like you said purely interested in the traffic.

If you're familiar with YT uploading, you know that they check for copyrighted content on your video before you decide to publish it.

I assume that YT will warn you that the song/video you uploaded will only be monetizable by the copyright holder, but that's about it.

I guess you could still get a strike on your channel by the copyright holder (be it the artist, or the publishing company)

...but judging by the amount of channels that upload songs and music videos on YT, that's probably a rare case.

Then you have to use artists that won't mind getting revenue from you instead of shutting your channel down.
