Grow Facebook page with stupid simple SEO trick?

I was just wondering

What if you created a simple autoblog website that simply reposts posts from you Facebook page or group?

That would grab some visitors coming through search engines and you simply link your FB page/group on the website to gain more followers

It might work, but I doubt you'll get any decent traffic without investing in SEO, and most of these visitors won't convert to followers.

And at the end, this is all for a facebook page... which is pretty useless imo
