I didn't hear about it for years, I didn't know people are still allowed to grab those groups

this is really hit or miss, because those groups have hidden admins by themselves, after you can get them they will appear and out you from the group, unless you are the group creator, you have the right to detect admins

groups without admin are risky, because when admin appears again you will be removed from the group, you should create your own group

I've taken over no less than 100 FB groups without losing any because the Admin came back.
Is that a new adjustment that FB recently implemented?

It's quite risky. Instead, it's safer to build one or more private groups.

How do you know that admin came back ? I mean from the new members who joined , how do you know that this particular new member is a past admin ?
