Group-Run Private Blog Network?

The idea being that instead of running your own network of 100 or so PR 3+ sites (for example), you get together with 100 other people who each have a high pr blog/site and everybody else gets access to each others.

Does this kind of thing exist in an organized fashion?

Very old idea. But that would make the network too vulnerable.
 
I see, fair enough. How does it make the network overly vulnerable?

Usually, a couple of guys would spam too much and destroy it all. IMHO niche network of 5 to 10 guys with less blogs but better quality would work much better.
 
Ah I see. I suppose if it was well-moderated though....
 
i would go in if the network is not going to have anymore than 5-10 participants.
and there should be rules and limits to the numbers of links one can use weekly etc...

Exactly. Internet is developing in a way that it is almost impossible to work in more than 2-3 niches at the same time. That is why one or two niche networks (with more or less focused sites) among 5-10 people in the same niche are perfect.

Yep. Some sick minded people always fck the opportunity for their own good...
 
Where would you guys suggest finding people to get involved in a project like this? I've got a handful of PR3+ sites I use in conjunction with other link-building methods. It would be good to leverage them.

Yes but it works only with limited members who really know what they are doing. 100 is a big number. I am talking about 5-10 people max.

You need money for hosting. If you can afford $200 a month go for 20 good hosting companies and start looking for JV in BHW for example.
 
Theres been quite a few examples of these type of networks NOT working especially if you dont know the people IRL.

Id suggest finding a private network that you can pay for but isn't whored out. Those are the networks that work the best. One I have been in for a couple of years without a hiccup. Thats something that is hard to find these days though.
 
Literally, the exact thing you are looking for exists.

It is called Fight Back Network and there is a BST thread on it here in this forum.

Once you join, you then have to add sites in to the system. There are a lot of small networks right now. You need to apply to join one, for example, the PR3+ general network. If accepted, your site is added into that small mini network and you get to post to the other sites in the network.

There are also niche specific networks there, eg - casinos / gambling.

Definitely needs more members right now, but the PR3+ general network and the other PR2 or PR1 networks have a fair few sites.

You can also create a network on there with other members and keep it private so that no one else subscribed to the service can see your network.

Overall, I would check it out.
 
We have a blog network of 200-300 high pr blogs on C-class ips for internet marketing niche and currently I'm trying to automate blogs for maintenance - such as updates, etc. which is a pain because of the work it requires. If this could be automated (which I believe is party possible) would be pretty cool.

There is also a web service under development called Article Boss (articleboss.com) which will allow you to manage blog networks and submit to all with a few clicks (IMO the most powerful link-building and time-saving method).

After trying SEOFightback, it seems to me the content is of too low a quality and off-topic. I think the JV idea with a handful of people is definitely something worth looking into, thanks for that danailo.
