Group Buy Section

Hey folks,

So my idea is a GB (group buy) section exclusive to the Jr.VIP section. Basically a Jr.VIP member post a product or service
first and other VIP's can come in and offer to go in on the price. This would add value to that section in particular and allow
members the satisfaction of premium products and services at a cheaper rate per member.

Example:

1. Jr.VIP post: [GB] Example Product

States the total cost, original sales page, and how many members their willing to accept for the group buy. The OP is also
responsible for dividing how much each member will need to pay.

2. Other members who might be interested in the product take part in the group buy.

The math works like this:

Product cost: $100
Split between 5 members = $20 per member.

After the product or service is bought the thread can be closed by the Jr.VIP. Of course this subsection will need it's own set
of guidelines like any other section. I have seen this in action before and it works. Sure it will need a little regulation to make
it right, but at the end of the day it would really add value in my opinion.

I agree with RK, there is need of group buy section.

 

There is already someone doing this with the big im products. Not on here though. You can get almost any program for a fraction of the price. Like the $2000 courses for like 147...I have gotten a few. Dont know if you were talking about IM products though as most of you prob already know how to get them for free!

 

This will only work if everyone gets a seat on the license.

There's plenty of subscription based products and pure one time purchases that you cannot find cracks for so
the natural course would be for those products. If a Jr.VIP post it in the group buy section then odds are it was
not available safely through seed networks ect.

Not every product requires a license like many premium plug ins and themes, however sharing a license key
will work for some products. Again I am not saying its applicable to every single item, but it definitely would
add value and be an outlet for members to enjoy cut rate prices.

JMHO - a GB section could work but not on the public side of the forum unless you set restrictions. GB organizers would need to have some credibility that they won't organize, collect and run without delivering. Participants would need to understand that if one abuses the GB then all will lose the benefits without recourse. Speaking of recourse, GBs would need to have the explicit understanding that you may or may not get anything for your contribution. If someone abuses the GB or goes around the proxy or the service providers sniffs out the GB then nobody should whine about a refund. Speaking of service providers, another benefit of moving this to the hidden forum is so service providers that aren't jrvips don't see or shill into a GB only to ban it.

I'm very active in GBs on another forum but honestly I don't see it working on a forum like BHW unless someone organizes a Skype group or hidden group for organizers and participants. Just way too much exposure here and even BHW jrvip section is scraped and published on other forums frequently.

 

You're points are well taken, but this section could be handled like the JV section which is working just fine and is
on the indexed part of the forum. If a Joint Venture section can work then this should be a breeze. When two
people or multiple people enter into a Joint Venture they know there's risk involved. Same thing applies to GB.

Not a too good suggestion but might be help full for some who not want to pay full price. if you are a vip that means you are earning and you can buy products if you need them. you can found things for free on im forums or if a soft or product is protected like Gsa/Scrapebox then you won't be able to group buy it.

if there are only 10-20 participants and some one asked for a group buy for a paid wp theme only 1-2 of those participants might be interested. (skype groups won't work too good)
Finding people with similar interests is a pita and will consume good amount of time, even if you are able to find them still you won't be able to trust them all and they might not trust you.

This is very good thought....although everybody can save himself to be scammed and can get the high price product in small amount

 

That's not how group buys work mate If I wanted a particular product, service, or anything eligible for a
group buy I would simply post it. If it happens to take off then that's great. If for some reason no one is interested
then you move on.

I can't reiterate enough how simple the process really is:

1. Jr.VIP is personally interested in an item so they start the GB thread for that item.
2. If others are interested in the GB offer then they can participate. (If not then it will sink on the boards)

Couple of sticky subsection rules need to be stated to keep everything clean. I am sure the staff can outline that
better than me.

I like the idea but there is too much that could go wrong.
People will pay $20 to get in on the Group Buy, share it on other forums, get the license restricted etc
Then people will shit list each other.
We should be able to have a GB section but unfortunately I don't believe everybody is professional enough.
There would be a small minority that would abuse it and cause problems for Mods to administer.
Would products on the DNS list be permitted etc?
The forum is too Public, it might work if it was a closed Paid section or people paid a deposit to join the group but again it sounds like too much administration.
Also the products that would interest me are those costing $200 - $500+ but I would be concerned about who the other members in the GB are, I just don't trust people NOT to screw it up.

What would be good, is if BHW Admin could arrange exclusive BHW discounts for JrVIPS.

 

Yes, A GB section is a must have here. Proper maintenance by mods will make it safe i hope. Lots of great mods out here.
Infact additional GB section membership will also be a good option.

this topic has been brought up many times and mods / owners have always said
no, why would it change now. group buy - cheap as way to avoid paying somethings
worth, but i tell you this, when its done to you, you wont be so happy because your
earnings will bomb. think on that

this is also why bhw has a DNS list do not share.
