Hi, everybody!
I've been a user on theBot.net for a good few years, and I've also been a barely active lurker here for a few years too, but I've never really interacted with this forum until now.
I've recently broken into the copywriting game, and as such I am still very new to it all: I have, however, written a few pieces of copy for clients on Fiverr, so these works make up my current portfolio. The caveat is that they no longer necessarily reflect my current level of skill, as I've been taking lessons on LinkedIn Learning about copywriting.
Constant improvement is key, right?
My motivation is pretty much what a lot of people's motivations are for plying a trade: cash. I've heard that even newbie copywriters are always in demand, and I'm hopeful to earn at least a few hundred pounds or dollars per month. I basically want to use the money earned to broaden my skill-set (I'm looking at online college and other educational courses for subjects like graphic design, professional game-development, proofreading, more copywriting courses, et cetera, but they all cost a LOT), to pay for private medical care (NHS is slow to the point of being pointless, honestly), and to ultimately boost my earning potential both online and offline.
I have to admit, seeing all the threads in the marketplace is fairly intimidating to a newcomer still dipping his toes into the water, so-to-speak. But, I'm willing to learn, and I'm also determined.
