Hello, all. And yes, my country is doomed. The lack of any charisma, drive, intellect, substance, or any value in general in my countrymen (and women) is astounding, to the degree that I must conclude that this country's good run is over. It just doesn't know it's dead yet! We Americans are often thought of as naive, shallow, superficial, insecure, narcissistic, and more than a little stupid, and it's true! Keep in mind, I'm actually an optimist. Well, rant over. Anyway....

I notice that many folks join forums and immediately appease the need to not feel completely "noob-ish" with that ratty old lie, "I've actually been lurking here forever, but I finally thought I'd go ahead and join".

BS! Lol, yeah sure Slick, I got your number. You're simply trying to appear as though you've "been around" and aren't entirely ignorant of what's really goin' down, Foolio. Well........

I AM noob-ish! Yep, I just happened upon this site a couple days ago, and after reviewing about a dozen threads I decided to join. I'm very new to IM and only very recently started researching it as a means of augmenting my RL marketing efforts with regards to the automotive detailing company I'm starting. My research into IM marketing has given me other ideas for business ventures I mean to try that aren't related to the detailing arena. We'll see how it goes. I know I'm green and I admit it, but I'm definitely going to learn.

I've been doing a lot of writing lately as well, completing an instructional e-book in the special makeup effects niche (how to make your own cinema quality vampire teeth!), nearly finished with a full length e-book dealing with classic muscle cars--specifically the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am--entitled "Trans Am Legends: The Story of an American Automotive Icon", and more. I will be getting some celebrity interviews that will be featured with that particular book as well (legendary Pontiac ad man Jim Wangers specifically), and am setting my sights on yet more topics and projects in the writing field, as I do it extremely well and enjoy it immensely.

I'm definitely interested in doing various forms of marketing writing, such as ad copy, press releases, blog content, articles and so on. Once I learn about the technical side of IM writing such as kw density, LSI and such, I shall be a MONSTER in this arena. KNEEL BEFORE MY MIGHT, PATHETIC MORTAL FOOLS! hehe, just kiddin'. Really! :)

I also read voraciously and have an addiction to learning. I've played death metal guitar for nearly 24 years now, and enjoy music as well. I was at one time a heavy party-type dude, but now I work too damn much and just chill with my wife in the little bit of off time I get. I enjoy video games and good films but rarely get to enjoy either, for lack of time. Good acting and a compelling storyline are musts for both games and films, and I hate emotional, cheeseball "chick-flicks". Horror, drama, sci-fi. Word to your mother! :)

I'll refrain from asking for any advice in this initial post, as I feel it's a bit tacky to ask when you can usually search the threads to find your answer, but I definitely look forward to interacting with everyone here. I hope all is well with you and a big "cheers" to you all!

Also, my apologies for the huge post, I could have done the typical, "Hello all, glad to be here, please help me with XYZ problem, thanks, lolz". But that just isn't how I do things. And this was at least a tiny bit more entertaining to read, wasn't it? Of course it was!

I could have done the typical, "Glad to have ya in the forum mate lolz". But that just isn't how I do things. And this was at least a tiny bit more entertaining to read, wasn't it? Of course it was!
