I was a lurker here for quite a while to gain insight into how forums unfamiliar to me handle conflict resolution, build community cohesion and negotiate ideas about systems to protect one another as best as possible. That was for a paper I collaborated on a couple of years back. The paper was a success and I'm grateful for the insight I gained here. Thank you.
I initially spent a lot of time reading the 'Dispute Resolution' (then called the Sh!t List) and 'Feedback' sections and, unlike in other spaces, found it also personally really interesting. I might have gotten a little hooked.
Eventually I made an account with zero interest in posting, but it occurred to me the other day reading a thread in Feedback that if I don't at least introduce myself this account may be seen as 'account farming for join date'. So I'm saying hello.
I do not expect to post here much if at all, I do run an online business but one in a field that's not discussed here much and my methods (not capital M methods, just my personal business model) work for me. I did purchase something from a BHW member long before joining, he was the one who actually suggested this space to me as an addition my background research.
Basically, I'm just posting to say hello, and establish that there is a real person behind this account. In the event that perhaps down the line I wish to purchase another service from a member I figure it's best not to be a total ghost.
