What do you guys think of GreenGeeks? They pressure you into at least a 1 year contract with their pricing options. Looking to hear from some customers or past customers.

GreenGeeks is The Worst Hosting Company We Have EVER!!!! EVER!!!! Used
They are liars and do NOT refund your money when they say they will (in fact the timeline changed after numerous calls).
Take a look at their SWEET web hosting offer here (the one to suck you in):
http://greengeeks.com/web-hosting/
See the aster-ix after the $3.95 a month?
Now scroll down to the bottom of the page...nothing there!!!
So click: Get Started
Fill in your info and go...
And you are a happy camper until the receipt comes into your inbox...
Surprise...Surprise!!!
You have a HUGE charge.
They have it automatically setup so your credit card is charged for THREE YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!
So you call them and ask for a refund...
Initial Call..."Sure just enter your info online, hit cancel/refund and we'll take care of it..."
Call 1...."Ok you'll get your refund shortly...but we may have a counter offer for you." "NO!!!!!" I said!!
Call 2...."Yes everything looks good so within 12 hours it should be back in your account."
Call 3...."It's always a 12-24 hours wait" (24 hours had passed)
Call 4...."Not sure what's wrong...we'll put in rush request." (48 hours)
Call 5....They should be working on it shortly (72 hours later)
Call 6....You're next in line, so it should be within the hour (96 hours later)
Call 7...."I have no idea what the hold up is!"
Call 8...."It's usually 5-10 days." (100 hours later)
As of this posting...NO REFUND!
Each person we spoke to is a virtual assistant (a contract employee) and not at the Agoura Hills location.
They all seem to be expecting angry calls and are very defensive.
Yet they can do NOTHING!
Why? Because it's being run and dictated by Trey Gardner...And he hates to give your money back (See CNBC American Greed)
We have had hosting with Hostgator, 1and1, Dreamhost & Godaddy.
All give IMMEDIATE refunds while you wait on the phone!!!! But not your funloving, Green Geeks...

This is not the only Ripoff Report about these clowns!
Runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn from them!!!!
They are real creeps & are about as Green as my curdling blood!

Yeah Toby, I think I bought 12 months or something upfront. Anyways, still with them 1.5 years later. Support quality has lowered but that doesn't mean it's still not better than Host Gator and the like.

I might as well update this, as I know it's in search engine results. The speed is quite slow. The support responds fast enough but they play a constant blame game. They do reboots every 24 hours and every time they do it, the site goes down for 15 minutes, I submit a ticket detailing that it's down, they respond about 20 minutes later by the time it's back up and naively say "it's good on my end, clear your cache."They do make my blood boil quite often with their email responses.I believe the minimum commitment is 12 months, so I'd think twice before jumping on the ship.

I have never liked it when host lock you in for years at a time. The worst on this was hostgator. Would advertise a nice price and then when you went to sign up you would have to pay for like 3 years upfront to get that number. I understand why they do it on a business side, but on the flip side I would think they would loose just as much customers doing this. set pricing month to month is my vote with promos every once in awhile
