I just stumpled upon a great totally free service, that makes copycats to your personal link building army. It is also a great way to water down your anchor text diversity and so much more.
Let me explain:
The service is called http://www.tynt.com/ and you create an account by giving your site url.
After that you get a small javascript snippet, which you paste before the closing </head> -tag to get it loaded on each site refresh. I used it on an authority ecommerce site with about 2K uniques a day - it did not decrease the performance, so dont worry.
After implementing this code, each and every copy from your site gets counted and is tracked in your dashboard (even with numbers how much words from your content has been copied). But much better is, if the content is pasted somewhere in the web, it automatically adds a backlink to your site, where it has been inserted, with an anchor tag like "Read more: [plainurl to your site, where the content has been copied from]".
The bigger your site already is, the more works it. I used it on an ecommerce site with about 4K unique product pages. Installed yesterday, today I had the first report in my inbox.
One Night: 35 NEW BACKLINKS!
I checked some of them and guess what - One of my competitors has now a backlink to my site in his product descriptions - this bullock didn't even bother to check the content he has pasted.
