Great way to find specific friends on FB

    Hello peeps,

I've come up with pretty good way of finding people on Facebook, that are directly related to what you "marketing". This method is NO secret, it's just that I think many people overlook how helpful it can be. With this method, I've already found hundreds of people I added to the Facebook page for my blog, and am already seeing the results, more visits to my blog, Youtube channel, etc...

This can be useful for finding specific interest friends, link promoting, etc...

    1. Go up to your search bar, and type in a keyword. For example, if your Facebook is promoting politics, then type a keyword revolving around that.

    2. Don't submit the search, it will give you suggestions in the drop down menu, at the bottom it will say "See more results for [Your keyword]". Click this option.

    3. On the left hand side, you have a list of filtering options, filter it to "Groups", and this will give you a huge list of individual groups. You can go down the list.

    4. Each result will have a link saying the number of members, if you click this link, it will take you to a full list of the group's members, and "Add Friend" buttons for each.

    5. You can stay on the list of groups, and just change your keyword in the search bar above the list. :)

There you go! This is a great way to find people that are more likely to be interested in what you have in your blog, Facebook, etc...You can join those groups and promote with comments and links, or just add people as friends, who are interested in what you are working with.

    Hope this helps! :D

    Thanks added!
Can you be a lil more specific about:
how many friends you add per day?
what software you are using to add friends?

    Thanks for the Thanks haha.

I am not exactly sure on how many friend requests you are limited to per day. I've done over 40 today, and had no issues.

I've looked at some threads on here for information about that, and it seems the same limit is about 40-60 per day. It's apparently also important to not do them to close together in time.

As for software, I'm doing this by hand because the time consumed is very little. I could easily add over 500 friends under an hour by hand if I wanted to, but I will research some software that is recommended, or if anyone cares to chime in.

Once I get more information together, I will update this!

Facebook follows different mechanism for friends added. You can add 500 people in a day given that first 100 people you add accept your request. Thats how facebook detects if you are abusing the friend request feature.

This is true, but you have to do what you have to do. Just be conservative and don't overdo it.

Will the friends be added to my fanpage or my personal FB page? For example, I log into my personal account and go to one of the fanpages I created. I do the search for groups to find friends and add them. Where do the friends go? Thanks for clarifying.

Well, a fan page does not have "friends", only likes. So, no it would be applicable to fan pages, but to Facebook accounts only.

I highly suggest using a profile, and not a page for marketing. For one, it allows you to use my method, and grab potential friends yourself, instead of waiting around for someone to like the page and two, there are many more features that can be used.

So it sounds like I need to create a profile that is separate from my current account and then start marketing away. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the clarification. :)
