Good share, OP...there are really good ways to use these, so I'd be happy to see anything else you found.

Nice share for anyone doing outsourced backlinks as a freelancer.

There's a whole bunch of .gov and .edu sites that use that kind of redirect. I remember I even figured out a way to get keyword + anchor text to appear on a few of the redirect page by playing with the URL string.. that was a few years back though.

http://democrats.assembly (DOT) ca.gov/members/scripts/redirect.asp?url=http://mywebsite.com&cache=yes

some of the footprints to find them:

redirect.aspx?url=

urlstatusgo.html?col=

here's a list of a whole bunch of edu and gov redirects.. keep in mind these are old and some will be dead.

Just looking through some of my old gov backlink files I found this to get a .gov blog, not sure if it still works but the signup page is open:

Signup here :
energycodes (DOT) gov/moodle/login/signup.php
1.After signing in Click on "Courses"
2.Click on your name
3.You will now see "Blog" tab click it
4.Add new entry 469662131761
5.Create your blog

It uses the "moodle platform" there's a whole bunch of .gov and .edu sites where you can make a blog.

Another freebie..

moodler.doe (DOT) in.gov/login/signup.php

That's a redirect though a little different, these other ones actually create a page and place your link on it still on the domain. Those .GOV/.EDU redirects were popular years ago, today I would steer clear they're pretty worthless if not harmful and those sites have zillions of bad chinese links dropped on them from back then just to make it even worse.

Can anyone tell me if this is a backlink exploit page? Similar to the one mentioned above.

1c1[dot]io

I see a competitor is getting +200k backlinks/month from these sites. When I click on the link, it brings me to a normal page (with no backlink to that competitor). These link die within around 30 days.

When I set my browser as a Google Bot, it pushes me to the 1c1 HP.

I'm guessing this URL shortener is injecting a backlink with PHP or Javascript.
