Great guides for farming your own lists

Does anyone have a link to a good guide for manually farming your own lists?

Or a thread on this forum?

I've used the search feature and Google operators for this site but there's just so many threads here, any useful content is completely buried.

I would just prefer not to use the exact same lists that everyone else uses.

1. Create an account on Aweber (targetted email optin marketing solutions).

2. Create a blog with either WordPress or Blogger. Also create a YouTube, Twitter and Facebook account (social medias = LOTS of traffic).

3. Look for a LOW COMPETITION niche but HIGH SEARCHES using Google Adwords Tool.

4. Go into your Aweber account and create a list, a web form, then implement it on your blog, put a link to it on your facebook page, youtube channel and twitter account.

5. Create follow-up messages to build reputation and trust with your customers (VERY IMPORTANT! That will make conversions go up in long-term...)

6. Market your blog, create posts daily, find interesting things concerning your niche, answer questions on yahoo answers with a link to your blog into it, reply to people on twitter that were looking for what you have on your blog, same thing for facebook and youtube, comment, send messages, be active 24/7.

6.1 I personnally use TweetAttacks to be active on twitter and TubeToolbox for youtube. Posting on forums concerning your niche is a VERY good way to increase your optin list.

7. The goal isn't to get the most emails, it is to get the most TARGETTED emails... I'd prefer 50 emails that converts than 10,000 that doesn't...


THE METHOD! (MONETIZATION STEPS...)
1. After you've build up a good list, create a new follow up message and market a product either from clickbank or any other affiliate reseller site.

2. Also do a general broadcast to your ''already opted-in'' emails to market that same exact product.

3. That's it! - That's how i earn my money right now, make sure to backup your email list every single day so if for any reason aweber shuts down or anything, you still have your list and can upload it to getresponse, mailchimp, etc.

But I guess I should have been more descriptive. I was talking about farming lists for social bookmarking sites, pliggs, AA blogs, etc..

I do appreciate the time you took on writing that up though, I definitely learned some things by reading it, even though that wasn't what I was originally asking about.

You say you searched BHW, so the next step is to search in Google/Yahoo/Bing and then test what you learn. Or, spend some time actually looking through threads here.

You mean scraping lists I assume? Stop using the farming term, you're just going to confuse people, and it's not the right terminology. Farming implies that you plant a seed and let something grow from it. All you're describing is scraping lists. Get Scrapebox, learn about the footprints used for different platforms. Go to town with it. There should be a never ending list of Scrapebox tutorials for targeting different types of lists, and simple searches for "*platform name* footprints" on Google, should give you all you need to go scrape like crazy...
