Better content mate, simple as that.
With AI help or without AI help, content must be oriented toward people and not toward keywords.
1 of my new site also got wiped, site is still on Google but 0 impressions.
2nd got some solid boost in ranking, 5 months an old site, with 0 backlinks done, 20 articles.
The difference between 1st and 2nd is, that the 1st was all about keywords, 2nd was all about people.
Of course, keywords are important, just don't overuse them, and do not create content for keywords, if you get what I mean.

There are no rules to this. Lots of big sites took a hit, and so as many small sites. The update targeted AI blogs. Some of my friends got manual penalties.
Even doggysaurus.com got wiped.
There is nothing to do. Just start new projects and try to avoid AI generated articles.
