I don't know if I imagining this but I tried different proxies, VPN, web proxies but when I click the 3 dots to the right under the video then all I can see is report or/and save to list.
Grabbing transcripts down?

I tried to use javascript to get the object that has stored the response from timedtext (the transcript). But it seams impossible to find it?

that's so weird - I have the same issue! There must be an error on YT end...Or maybe they have cottoned onto people downloading them to use themselves! I can imagine people are using them to get the info they need through ChatGPT and Bing, with no need to watch the video thus losing out on ad money!

It's not a big Win for YouTube to do that because there are services that can extract subtitles and there is this timedtext call that downloads the transcript.
Exactly. Personally I use it to let chatGPT tell me what the video is about to save me a bunch of time. Most videos just make me fall into BS because of a baity title.

That was not it. CC button was working. Subtitles existed but not the button that gave you easy access to the full transcript.
