I believe they will aim more for coding that videos or pictures, but if they add picture or video creation they will break the internet and they will increase the price I can see it coming like their deluxe features.
 
well it's trademark registry only, i think it will still be years before it roll out. even gpt 4 still have experimental feature.
i think gpt 5 will be capable of making chart from data set, generate image on article

even gpt 2 and davinci is still not free lol.

nah both already exist, it's more packaging all of it into more usable product
 
how about they release gpt4 API for everyone already before jumping to gpt5... i honestly dont like this company and the way it does things, cant wait for opensource alternatives to become powerful enough

I agree. Everything we are doing with gpt is being used to fine-tune. I'm sure 5 won't be free. I personally don't think that it should be.
 
There's no way. It won't come soon, maybe 6-12 months later but not soon like next month. They just filed a trademark and they aren't even done with gpt4. But yea I'm exited for it too.

We all wish this, but I don't think we will get it that way haha. They are making too much money with GPT-4, and it costs more than GPT-3.5 while using it with the API, so I don't think it will be free soon.

Who knows, maybe 5 is in the same plan as 4, since I guess they fine tuned it and it might cost less to answer. Similar to how GPT-3.5 did with their previous text generation options they had before.
 
what i always find funny is i spoke with gpt2 it was great, then gpt3 was crazy good. and gpt2 turned stupid. then gpt4 came out and gpt4 worked just as good as gpt3 with some corrections and website fixes. and now gpt3 is pretty useless. its like they take the main knowledge from the current model and put it with the next one.
