Following Google's expected unveiling of ChatGPT competitor, code named "Apprentice Bard", on February 8th, Microsoft is set to respond in the coming weeks with a faster and more advanced version of ChatGPT, known as GPT-4, into their products, marking a significant advancement in the rapidly growing generative AI field and presenting a long-anticipated challenge to Google's search dominance.

According to sources familiar with the product and rollout plans, OpenAI's latest software, GPT-4, delivers faster responses, with more human-like and in-depth replies compared to the GPT 3.X family of AI models

Microsoft announced in May 2020 that it had constructed one of the world's top five publicly disclosed supercomputers, in partnership with and exclusively for OpenAI, to train massive AI models.

Today it seems like that investment is starting to bear fruit.
