I skimmed through the video.
I remember reading an article back in 2008 suggesting that once AI (or rather, machine learning) started taking off, that it would be a rapid progression that society would struggle to keep up with. Governments and corporations are currently trying to ban ChatGPT in order to slow its roll, but this technology is already out there, so I see this effort as futile. Of course, this isn't to say they're necessarily wrong for wanting to slow this down. After all, just look at the technological illiteracy of your average person; most of them still aren't even aware of the existence of internet marketing even though it's right in front of their faces every day. People are just struggling to keep up with the technology currently around them, and this is only going to exacerbate that issue. The government isn't much more technologically literate either.
Knowing this progression of machine learning is unlikely to slow down, it has made me think about those big things that happen once or twice in a decade. Registering rare domains in the 90s, the ease of internet marketing in the 2000s, Bitcoin in the 2010s. I'm always on the lookout for "the next big easy money thing", although whether machine learning turns out to be the shovel you sell during the gold rush or the tool that will lead to the treasure remains to be seen.

That's deep. It's actually something I should make a point to remind myself. We're all so engrained in this IM world and have been for so many years, that this is often easy to forget.
I talk with my mom about a lot of my projects. I'm building her a dropshipping store right now. Just last night, she asked me why her audience won't just go to AliExpress instead of her site. I had an answer for her that does / did make sense, but I think the much simpler answer is that they just don't know Ali exists.
I think it's both. I just purchased someone's shovel -- a book on Amazon about ChatGPT that focuses on GPT-4.
I've been using both, heavily, but I'm always a student in this space. I do use it as a tool, as well. All the time.
Hell, I even use it when I'm on dating sites.
This sounds oddly like something that AI would write. I saw a very similar response when having some deep conversations with CGPT, a while back.
The landscape is changing.

Probably no worse than what we already see from all the people so easily manipulated by talented actors reading teleprompters, early in the morning and late at night.

The AI revolution seems messy, do I hate it in a way yes, but can it save me money when used correctly yes. Will it to messy situation yes, job loss is gonna happen at scale and we all know what comes next. However I hope people that lose job start using it to become freelancer and recover.
