GPS Spoofing for Local SEO?

Hey I got an interesting email where the sender claimed that they have some 'proprietary mobile technology' that allows them to spoof mobile location and visits to a location to benefit local seo within 45 days. I was wondering how that was possible. Wouldn't google want to see what the device does before and after the visit as devices don't just teleport to a location for a few seconds and then vanish?

It's not *magic*, there are many GPS spoofers for Android (for example). The question is mainly, can Google detect this or not. If the spoofed device at 10PM is at lets say Amsterdam. And then suddenly 1 minute later it is suddenly at some restaurant in Barcelona... this is a huge red flag. You get what I mean?

Sounds intriguing, but remember, Google's algorithms are smart - teleporting phones won't fool them!
